Fort Campbell SchoolsFort Campbell Schools include all learning institutions located on the Fort Campbell Army installation located between Clarksville, Tennessee and Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Fort Campbell Schools consist of five Elementary School Institutions: Jackson, Marshall, Barkley, Lincoln and Andre Lucas Elementary Schools; two Middle School Institutions: Wassom and Mahaffey Middle Schools; and Fort Campbell High School as the primary high school campus for the Fort Campbell post. The Fort Campbell area also includes several excellent colleges and institutions of higher learning: Austin Peay State University, Hopkinsville Community College, Troy State University, Brown Mackie College, Draughons Junior College and Miller-Motte Technical College. Current Fort Campbell Elementary School enrollments are at approximately 3000 students between Pre-Kindergarten and Grade Five with roughly 160 full-time teachers instructing. Fort Campbell Middle School enrollments are at 700 students in grades Six, Seven and Eight with approximately 25 teachers instructing. Finally, Fort Campbell High School has over 500 students enrolled between grades Nine through Twelve and over 10 full-time and several part-time teachers. In addition, the schools assist the student in developing critical thinking and effective communication skills, promote and reinforce responsible social behaviors and foster positive attitudes and realistic self evaluations.
